A salad!
Specifically a salad with the following ingredients:
Baby spinach
A handful of good, ripe strawberries, quartered
A handful of kumquats, thinly sliced
A handful of toasted nuts (pecans and walnuts work equally well)
A light coating of poppyseed dressing
YUM. Try it. Then come back to thank me later.

Fruit/nut salads are one of our staple meals. Love 'em. But I thought you had to candy/blanch kumquats first to make them good. Just slice them as is?
Yup! Just slice as is! Have you ever just eaten them raw? They're great! Nice citrusy flavor, but they pop in your mouth like a grape.
