Reading Now...

I've had some weird sinus, I dunno, thing going on lately, so I left work early today to get some rest.  Between naps I finished reading Anthony Bourdain's latest, Medium Raw.  Figured I'd knock out a quick blog post before going to bed, because at this point not even 30 Rock can keep me awake.

Anyway, I really enjoyed Medium Raw:  Bourdain's a great writer and he's at his best when he's writing about food and fellow cooks.  I wouldn't recommend this book if you haven't read Kitchen Confidential or if you're easily offended.  He swears a lot; that's just his style.  He spends quite a bit of time devoted to supporting what he wrote in Kitchen Confidential, so if you haven't read that, much of this book won't really do much for you, I'm guessing.

Next I'm going to read the new Jon Krakauer book, Where Men Win Glory: The Odyssey of Pat Tillman.  I've really enjoyed some of his other books and I expect this one will be great too.

And with that, I'm off to bed.

Two years ago, 'Kitchen Confidential' made for the most pleasant and fast flight from Detroit to Phoenix ever. That is a laugh-out-loud book. I'll have to check into this one.
