Helpful Hints from Lindsey

Should you find yourself ever looking for a job, here are some helpful hints on submitting a resume straight from a person who will have to read that garbage:
  1. If you don't have much work experience to go on, listing relevant college courses is fine. "Relevant" means that you probably shouldn't include your A+ in Hip Hop Dance.
  2. Being "proficient with Google, Yahoo!, MSN, and Hotmail" does not qualify you for an IT job.
  3. Put your name on your resume. It's helpful. Actually, I take that back. If you're dumb enough not to put your name on your resume, then leave it off. That saves me from having to interview you.
  4. Don't use Comic Sans and your font of choice. Not for a Communications Director position. Or any position, for that matter. Actually, I take that back. See #3 for details.
